January 2008

At 4 Copas we strive, in the words of Chris Melendez, President and CEO of 4 Copas USA, to "Bridge the Gap Between You and the Agave". This is truly taken to heart as we want you to understand who we are, and that the fact that our tequila tastes and feels so good, is no coincidence.

The best way to understand the tequila and its background is, of course, to visit the distillery. The people that work there are a community based team, and have been working proudly and dignified for generations- you can feel their enthusiasm and sense that their work is meaningful. Failing that, the 4 Copas Ambassadors that provide tastings translate the love in each bottle magically at their tastings.

WORLD’S FIRST ORGANIC TEQUILA FOR SEA TURTLES

Baja California Sur
Loreto

LORETO, Baja California Sur, Mexico – From January 19-26, 2008, over 1,000 sea turtle researchers and conservationists will gather to share the latest news and report their progress on sea turtle monitoring and conservation.

World’s First Organic Tequila Releases Sea Turtle Limited Edition Bottle
The first certified organic tequila, 4 Copas Tequila, is producing a limited edition sea turtle bottle in honor of the symposium and sea turtle conservation research. Proceeds will go to Seaturtle.org, a non-profit organization that provides a centralized resource for sea turtlers around the world. Much of Seaturtle.org’s work involves satellite tracking, a key method for scientists and the public to learn about sea turtles’ movements and behavior.
